Meet the Team.

Dr. Rosso was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He attended Western University where he completed his honors Bachelor of Science degree earning a Gold Medal. Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Rosso completed his PhD in Biology. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery graduating with distinction from Western University. Dr. Rosso was the recipient of the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club award in Prosthodontics in 2011. Dr. Rosso has been working with the Norwich Dental team since 2011 and purchased the practice in 2015.  

He is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and a member of the Oxford County Dental Society where he serves as treasurer. 

Dr. Rosso enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid outdoors enthusiast. He volunteers his time with the Woodstock Minor Hockey Association and is a proud supporter of many local organizations. 

Dr. Louis G. Ferraro was born and raised in Woodstock, ON. He graduated from WCI, attended Western for 1 year and was then accepted to the Dental Program at U of T.
He obtained his DDS degree in 1972 then entered a 1 year Dental Internship at Toronto Western Hospital. Dr. Ferraro associated in Toronto and Woodstock for 2+ years.
He started a part-time practice at Norwich and District Medical Centre in 1975 and progressed to full time later that year. He developed a general family practice with an interest in orthodontics while maintaining hospital surgical privileges at Woodstock General for several years. In 1990 the office expanded to 6 operatories. Dr. Ferraro sold the practice to Dr. Dominic Rosso in 2015 and has practiced on a part-time basis since that time.

Dr. Ferraro was married in 1975 to Linda and moved to Norwich in 1976. All three of their sons were born while living in Norwich prior to moving to Woodstock. Dr. Ferraro was a 40 year member of the Norwich-Otterville Lions Club, previous board member and president of the Children’s Aid Society of Oxford County, current member and previous president of the Oxford County Dental Society, and previous board member and chair of the former Norwich Medical Centre Advisory Committee. He is currently active as an officer in the Woodstock Knights of Columbus.

Dr. Ferraro enjoys the outdoors and spends his free time cycling and skiing.

Dr. Elliott Gnidec received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1986. Prior to entering dental school he received his Masters Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Western Ontario. Upon graduating from dental school he associated with Dr. Lou Ferraro in Norwich until 1996, as well as associating in London until 2000. Dr. Gnidec also had his own private practice in Woodstock from 1987-2018.

In 1996 Dr. Gnidec became an adjunct professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and proceeded to hold various positions including chair of admissions, assistant professor in urgent care and currently adjunct professor and mentor professor. Dr. Gnidec is a member of the Oxford County Dental Society, a component of the Ontario Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the International College of Dentists.

In his spare time Dr. Gnidec enjoys camping with his family, biking, working on his old cars and walking his German Shepherd.  

Dr. Catherine Zhang was inspired to be a dentist by her childhood orthodontist. To pursue her dream, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences at University of Western Ontario in 2015. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2019 from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of Dr. Walter Teteruck Award in Fixed Prosthodontics and began her associateship at Norwich Dental.

Dr. Zhang is a strong believer of individualized evidence-based dentistry and takes a comprehensive approach when treating patients of all ages. She offers her patients a full spectrum of dental services including fillings, root canals, crowns, and bridges. She is a certified provider of Invisalign®. Dr. Zhang is also certified to provide nitrous oxide sedation for nervous patients. She is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association.

Dr. Zhang speaks Mandarin fluently. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Zhang is an excellent home chef in Chinese cuisine. She loves to read, travel and do crafts, i.e. miniature houses. Currently she is living in London with her loving husband and two mischievous kitties.
